Save Up to 42% on Your New Bike

The Cycle to Work scheme is a Government initiative that lets you buy a bike and cycling equipment through your employer as a tax-free benefit. Because the cost is deducted from your gross salary, you save on income tax and National Insurance — meaning savings of between 32% and 42% depending on your tax band.

How Does It Work?

  1. Check with your employer — your employer needs to be registered with a scheme provider. Most large employers already participate. If yours doesn't, ask your HR team to sign up.
  2. Get a certificate or voucher — your employer or scheme provider will issue you with a certificate for an agreed amount.
  3. Visit us in store or online — bring your certificate to us and choose your bike and equipment up to the value of your certificate.
  4. Enjoy your new bike — repayments are taken from your salary over 12 months, saving you tax and NI on every payment.

Scheme Providers We Accept

We are registered with all major cycle to work scheme providers including Cyclescheme, Halfords Cycle2Work, Green Commute Initiative, Salary Sacrifice, and Evans Cycles Ride-to-Work. If you're unsure whether we accept your scheme, please contact us.

What Can I Include?

As well as bikes, you can include safety equipment such as helmets, lights, locks, and high-visibility clothing in your order. Clothing and accessories must be used primarily for cycling to work to qualify.

Is There a Maximum Spend?

Many schemes have increased their limits — the Green Commute Initiative, for example, has no upper limit. Standard schemes are typically capped at £1,000 or £2,000. Check with your employer or scheme provider for the limit that applies to you.
